The town of Guatapé in Antioquia is located 1.5- 2 hours from the city of Medellín. This colorful 'pueblo' is famous for the surrounding turquoise lake and beautiful scenery. The best lake view is certainly at the top of the rock (El Peñol) and is worth the 740 steps.
